For our client, an international bank based in Frankfurt, we are looking for an Regulatory Reporting Vice President.


Your Responsibilities as Vice President Regulatory Reporting


  • The Vice President Regulatory Reporting reports to Head of Finance and has responsibility for local Regulatory Reporting related activity for all German entities


  • Timely and accurate preparation and delivery of local regulatory reporting: Balance Sheet, P&L, Liquidity and Capital reporting for the German Branches as required in line with IGAs and regulatory filing schedules.
  • Overall responsibility for the preparation of regulatory reporting requirements for the three branches in Germany, In addition, provide relevant information for the MaRisk submission.
  • Responsible for keeping up-to-date with German regulatory requirements on reporting standards and to advise on changes to methodologies as required in an SME capacity. The Regulatory Reporting Manager will therefore obtain knowledge of all upcoming BaFin and Deutsche Bundesbank circulars in respect of changes in reporting in order that these can be effectively anticipated
  • Reconciliation of Head Office reporting to local regulatory returns as appropriate to ensure effective control around outputs


  • Provides ad hoc support to Head of Finance Frankfurt on all issues concerning Financial Control.
  • To work with Internal and External Auditors and provide information as required and in consultation with Head of Finance Frankfurt.
  • To assure compliance with central bank compulsory reserves policy with any breaches being immediately escalated
  • To review and maintain local Finance Department procedures and to control operational risks in the Finance Department.
  • To review and maintain Liquidity Policy in line with requirements from Treasury and in consultation with Head of Finance Frankfurt.
  • Liaison/query response/resolution with authorities as necessary and in conjunction/consultation with Head of Finance Frankfurt to ensure that strong effective relationship with regulator is cultivated and enhanced.
  • Comply with Our Code, all Group policies, the Three Lines of Defence principles, the Group Recovery Plan, ‘Our Governance’ (the Group governance and controls document), German Branch Organisational Handbook and deliver against all relevant statutory, regulatory, supervisory and legal obligations, escalating concerns where appropriate
  • Manage day-to-day activities within risk appetite
  • Display risk practices and behaviours consistent with a risk culture where risk is simply part of the way we work and think


Your Qualification and Skills

  • Qualified Banker / Accountant (or qualified by experience) with financial services experience, particularly with exposure to banking systems accounting issues
  • Ability to apply finance skills & knowledge to a diverse range of issues
  • Understanding of central bank requirements and up to date knowledge of the local regulatory framework
  • Fluent in English and German (Written and Spoken)
  • Knowledge and practical experience of German Foreign Trade Report
  • Knowledge and practical experience of German Regulatory Reporting for an Institution with a full Germany Banking Licence
