Customer Development Manager - B2B Ingredients


Alexander Steele is recruiting on behalf of a well known, Global Food & Beverage Ingredient supplier.


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as a B2B Customer Development Manager. This role will cover the DACH region to Food & Beverage manufacturers.


Hybrid Working - 1 x per week in the Office min (North Rhine-Westphalia Area)

  • €70k - £90k + Company Car / allowance + Bonus + Benefits


What your tasks are:

  • Travel to customers up to 40% of the time.
  • Establishment, development and maintenance of long-term customer relationships within the DACH region.
  • Responsibility for sales & material margin of selected customers.
  • Achievement of commercial objectives (turnover, sales volume, margin).
  • Commercial activities including price, delivery, contract & forecast negotiations.
  • Development of a customer account plan (offers, projects, visits & goals).
  • Application-related advice for customers in selected market segments.
  • Collaborate with business departments to meet customer needs & requirements.
  • Resolve inquiries, complains & problems promptly and satisfactorily.
  • Continuous monitoring of contracts & forecast figures in accordance with objectives.
  • CRM pipeline planning of projects including goals (sales, number of visits, potential margins, volume).
  • Management of aftersales activities.
  • Identification of new strategic suppliers and products.

Experience:

  • Studies or training in the field of food technology, nutritional science, food specialist.
  • At least 3-5 years of technical and commercial experience in the food industry.
  • Experience with CRM & ERP (Ideally Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Native speaker of German (C2) & Written & spoken English (B2)
