Project Development Manager - Germany


Our client is one of the world's largest developers of renewable energy. With exciting plans to continue their recent global expansion and reach 100GW of total renewable energy production, our client is seeking an experienced development manager to join their team in Germany.


Responsibilities:


  • Project support from the creation of the approval planning to the handover to the investor/owner
  • Support in the creation of approval plans and approval applications
  • Analysis of projects for possible approval risks
  • Obtaining and assessing reports on nature conservation and pollution control forecasts
  • Support of approval and regulatory procedures
  • Evaluation of statements from the authorities involved and the public
  • Coordination with the authorities involved in the approval process
  • Support in objection and complaint procedures with the involvement of legal counsel
  • Construction preparation
  • Application for further permits (e.g. according to water and road law)
  • Obtaining and reviewing required technical reports (including legal advice)


Requirements:


  • Completed university studies in spatial planning, urban and regional planning, landscape planning, environmental planning, environmental law, geography or comparable
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in the field of renewable energies in Germany
  • Very good German and business fluent English skills
  • Knowledge of real estate law, construction law, technology
  • In-depth understanding of the project development process for large-scale solar and onshore wind turbines in Germany
  • Technical understanding of renewable energies
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
