We are now looking for a Business Development Manager in Germany for our client Avtron Power.

Avtron is a global leader in power test equipment, specializing in the manufacture of dynamometers and load banks. We have extensive experience working with multinational organizations, utilities, government departments, and specialist companies involved in mission-critical operations, OEM services, plant hire, and power generation.

Customer service is our top priority. We are always available to share our expertise on all aspects of testing and test equipment, both before delivery and throughout the years that follow. No detail is too small for our attention and assistance.

Our purpose-built factory is equipped with modern computer-aided design and manufacturing facilities. Our enthusiastic and highly skilled team, supported by robust management and ISO9001 quality systems, ensures we meet our customers' needs accurately and on time, every time.


The position: Business Development Manager Germany


The purpose of the position is to Drive the success and growth of Avtron’s Load Bank product in Germany through effective management, business development, and a commitment to top-tier customer service. The new Business Development Manager is going to be the face of the business in the German market.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day sales and operations of the Load Bank product in Germany.
  • Develop and grow business relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Collaborate with admin, service, engineering, production, and marketing teams.
  • Contribute to country-specific strategic objectives and sales plans.
  • Implement marketing and promotional strategies to raise brand awareness and develop sales materials.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of market trends and sales channels.
  • Develop and implement pricing policies specific to the German market.
  • Uphold company standards for business ethics and quality management.
  • Provide regular sales performance reports and forecasts.


Who are we looking for?

Qualifications & experience:

  • A degree in engineering or a business-related discipline with an electrical focus is preferred.
  • Proven experience in Business Development or Sales within an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment, with over 2 years in the field.
  • Strong sales and business development skills, particularly in managing distributors for high-quality industrial products.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong written, presentation & communication skills for reports, promotions, and policy documents.

  • High level of accountability.
  • Native German Speaker with fluency in English
  • Fact-based, data-driven, and results-oriented, yet creative.
  • Perceptive and willing to continuously improve.
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, energetic, and positive with a good sense of fun.
  • Valid driving license for regular travel.
  • Experience in market and sales channel development.
  • Successful track record with similar products and customer bases.
  • Willingness to travel within Germany 30-50% of the time
