A global leader within the FMCG development and manufacturing space with revenues in excess of €1 billion per year.
The Position
The Division EHS Lead will work across multiple sites in Ireland and the UK across one of the main divisions of the business partnering with 3,000 suppliers, and managing a portfolio of well known brands. This is a newly created, highly visible role offering excellent exposure and career development opportunities. This role is a permanent, site based position which can be based from the Cork or Kerry sites
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and uphold EHS requirements and standards for the organisation
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on industry-best EHS practices and offer coaching on EHS matte
- Stay abreast of regulatory updates and devise strategies for their effective implementati
- Aggregate and evaluate regional and global EHS Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Initiate and lead continuous improvement efforts focused on compliance and sustainability
- Ensure plant performance aligns with safety and environmental regulatory standard
Experience/Requirements
- A BSc / MSc in Science, H&S, Environment, Engineering or related
- 10+ years industry experience within the H&S, Environmental or Quality function
- Proven site based / manufacturing knowledge of the FMCG sector or a highly regulated manufacturing environment
Competencies
- People management / leadership experience
- Experience working with senior stakeholders to implement and promote a safety culture across an organisation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - fluent English speaker
- Strong influencing skills, highly organised and action-oriented
- Experience leading EHS cultural change
