Are you an Account Manager looking for a busy and varied role that allows you to utilise your range of sales and broking skills within a close-knit team? If so, apply now as we are looking for an Account Manager to join our Cologne office on a full time basis. You will be responsible for delivering revenue and profitability in accordance with your agreed targets and maintaining high earning accounts.


To be effective in this role you will need to demonstrate proven proactive sales ability, passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences, smart procurement techniques, creative presentation of offers, insightful closing techniques and robust administration with the flight planning arrangements.


Accountabilities


Responsibilities


  • Achieving targets set for each financial year
  • Providing support to your line Manager in all aspects of day-to-day trading
  • Maintenance and growth of existing client base
  • Assisting with client care activities and supplier relations
  • Speedy turnaround of new and existing client enquiries
  • Ensuring all new enquiries are entered correctly into CRM and OBC booking tool and updated on a regular basis
  • After sales service and orderly maintenance of paperwork/files
  • Research relevant industry data to create new sales leads
  • Building new business for Air Partner in a competitive market
  • Managing and maintaining high service levels on demanding accounts
  • Rota and out of hours required supporting time sensitive logistics missions.



Candidate Requirements


  • Good understanding in freight forwarding and time critical environments with a good understanding of customs procedures
  • Customer focused with good people skills and the ability to form relationships with key individuals, from suppliers to clients.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, with a strong telephone manner
  • Ability to anticipate and out manoeuvre rivals in competitive tenders
  • Previous experience working in an international environment
  • Ability to generate consistent GP for the company
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure rigorous contract and project deadlines are met
  • Well organised and resourceful
  • IT literate with the ability to learn the functions of a new system
  • Numerate, efficient and accurate
  • Must be competitive, highly motivated and hungry to win business
  • Logical approach to problem solving and adapt at keeping up with a changing situation
  • Ability to maintain a sense of humour, even in a pressured situation
  • Team Player – open communication
  • Ability and willingness to travel from time to time
  • Fluent in German and English is mandatory, additional languages are desirable
