Our German Transaction Advisory Group is lead by twelve highly experienced and established Managing Directors and Senior Directors. The team has earned an exceptional reputation for excellent work & they are highly active in Germany, working for premium clients on high profile deals: large and mid-cap private equity, fast growth premium small cap deals and multinational corporates. Their work comprises Germany deals and cross border activity in addition to international situations around the world.

As an Assistant Director (m/f/d) you will manage the following key responsibilities, supported by the European Transaction Advisory team

  • Lead teams on multiple Transaction Advisory engagements in Germany, across Europe & globally, working closely with our Managing Directors
  • Gain constant exposure to our Managing Directors, leveraging their substantial deal experience and be proactively involved in commercial, business development, and marketing
  • Use the commercial aspects of your financial analysis skills, in addition to gaining exposure to the key drivers and valuation considerations which drive a transaction
  • Work alongside operational and commercial professionals in combined project teams enhancing your understanding of the broader due diligence and wider deal process
  • Network internally with our service lines and work on external marketing events to build cross- service line relationships

Experience required

  • Experience contributing to Transaction Advisory (Financial Due Diligence) projects across a variety of sectors at a Big 4 audit firm
  • Strong academic record and graduated from a leading University or equivalent
  • Well-developed stakeholder management skills including managing key client relationships and networking
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Native or fluent German & English is essential. Additional language skills are highly advantageous
  • Highly ambitious and motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset, deep functional knowledge and insight, a blend of operational and commercial skills and an entrepreneurial approach
