Meet the team 

The mission of SAP S/4HANA and the Public Cloud ERP Product Management team is to drive and grow SAP’s core business as a market leader in cloud ERP. We are responsible for defining product scenarios based on market and target customer needs and translating them into consumable product requirements for engineering teams. We work hand-in-hand with our engineering and product marketing teams, as well as with our customers and partners on continuously improving our S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition product. Product Management is the authoritative voice of the legitimate challenges customers face, evangelizing an outcome-based product vision and roadmap that truly solves customer pain points by creating products that delight, yet serve the needs of SAP.

The Role

We are looking for a passionate candidate (m/f/d) that can lead a professional and future-oriented cloud product management team. Ideally, you bring a track record in leading multi-national cloud and state-of-the-art SaaS teams and are used to working in a fast-paced and agile organization. You will need to drive your organization towards a true SaaS mindset and setup, and quickly establish credibility and trust with key SAP leaders, product marketing and product management teams, engineering teams, customers, and your future peers. As a manager, you will have a CEO mindset, meaning you have accountability for driving success and growth of your respective product area. 

Your future product management team has responsibility for incubation and scale of our new innovations in close interaction with our product management leaders. You and the team will be focusing on our ability to incubate new innovation and support scale through our strong partner ecosystem. Therefore, expertise in one or more of these topic areas is an advantage.       

What you’ll do

The Head of Incubation, Scale and Intelligence Public Cloud ERP (m/f/d) will report to Sabrina Kunze, Head of Service Centric and Cross ERP and lead a team across multiple locations. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

• Be a strong influencer across SAP and in the market
• Lead a highly motivated and world class product management unit with focus on incubation and scale that supports the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition’s strategic direction and growth ambitions
• Understand and take ownership (with your team) of customer problems and opportunities and support the product teams to turn them into timely and tangible customer value
• Pave the way to a fluent and active innovation and incubation pipeline and proven stages of customer feedback interaction and “a learn and adopt” culture
• Closely cooperate with our partner ecosystem in mid-market and support a even stronger SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition experience through partner solution adoption in dedicated areas
• Engage customers, partners, and other stakeholders at all stages of the product lifecycle to ensure we are solving the right problems and building products our customers need  
• Create a highly innovative organization with strong focus on Employee Engagement and leadership NPS

What you bring

• 6+ years of relevant work experience in the software industry, preferably in Product Management
• Proven experience in bringing a new product to the market or successfully incubating new product innovation into a running customer work environment
• Strong capabilities to think end-to-end and succeed in unknown and unstructured work environments always driving for the tengible customer impact
• Excellent people management & leadership skills and ability to deal with high pressure from internal and external stakeholders 
• Excellent verbal, communication skills with the customers, partners and internal teams, as well as board/executive level presentation skills
• Ideally, an international track record showcasing that you can effectively relate to multicultural teams 
• Strong customer focus with previous exposure to key customers, as well as partner orientation
• Self-motivated and results-driven, with demonstrable success in previous positions
• Expertise in one or multiple of the core topics mentioned above would be advantageous
• Understanding of how to develop a product strategy and a product roadmap based on developing strong market expertise for a topic or product area
• Fluent or near-native English language skills
