Working student position in the area of logistics planning for compact cars from October 2024

As the Digitalization and Project Management Logistics Engineering team, we are directly at the source of the decisions. We ensure the leadership capability of our management, steer vehicle projects and the planning teams, develop the digital future of the division and consolidate crucial KPIs of the supply chain organization as a central function.
We are the voice of logistics in the early stages of the product development process and ensure that all new vehicles are integrated into the existing supply chains of the production plants.
The position is based at the Mercedes-Benz Sindelfingen plant. The Mercedes-Benz Sindelfingen plant will produce the latest generation of Mercedes-Benz and AMG electric vehicles from 5.
We are looking for you for tasks to coordinate and control logistics planning in Sindelfingen.
These are some of the challenges you will face:
You will support the planning control of the Compact Cars platform internationally as part of several ramp-ups in two plants You manage deadlines for the evaluation of change requests of the higher-level project organization between the logistics planning groups You have a knack for data management and integration, for example you can extract the important information from large data sets using MS Excel pivot tables and MS Power BI You prepare cross-departmental planning workshops with a large number of participants and provide support during implementation and follow-up You are responsible for maintaining the common quantity structure of logistics planning for two plants in the global Compact Cars production network You prepare draft resolutions for middle and top management Qualifikationen Degree in business administration, industrial engineering, logistics, supply chain management or a comparable course of study Proficient in written and spoken German and English Confident handling of MS Office Good to very good academic performance, extracurricular commitment desirable Ability to work in a team, communication and conflict management skills Confident manner towards management level, internal and external project partners High degree of independence and initiative Practical knowledge of projects in the automotive and supplier industry is desirable Open mindset and honest interest in the opinions and experiences of process partners Willingness to experiment when designing technical solutions and social processesThe position is initially limited to six months.
