Logistics Planning Specialist for Compact Cars

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Planning Specialist to join our team at Mercedes-Benz AG in Sindelfingen. As a key member of our Digitalization and Project Management Logistics Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the leadership capability of our management, steering vehicle projects, and developing the digital future of our division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning control of the Compact Cars platform internationally, coordinating with multiple stakeholders and teams.
  • Manage deadlines for the evaluation of change requests from the higher-level project organization, ensuring timely and efficient decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain data management and integration skills, utilizing tools like MS Excel pivot tables and MS Power BI to extract valuable insights from large datasets.
  • Prepare and facilitate cross-departmental planning workshops, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Maintain the common quantity structure of logistics planning for two plants in the global Compact Cars production network, ensuring seamless coordination and execution.
  • Develop and present draft resolutions for middle and top management, providing strategic recommendations and insights.

Requirements

  • Degree in business administration, industrial engineering, logistics, supply chain management, or a comparable field.
  • Proficient in written and spoken German and English.
  • Confident handling of MS Office, with a strong focus on data analysis and visualization.
  • Good to very good academic performance, with extracurricular commitment a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team, with strong communication and conflict management skills.
  • Confident manner towards management level, internal and external project partners.
  • High degree of independence and initiative, with a willingness to experiment and innovate.
  • Practical knowledge of projects in the automotive and supplier industry, a plus.
  • Open mindset and honest interest in the opinions and experiences of process partners.
