ZEISS consists of four segments: Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Quality & Research, Medical Technology and Consumer Markets. Transformation initiatives are driven by a lot of projects which require a lot of project management skills, agile transformation skills and general process knowledge. Your Role The Team Lead Global IT Portfolio Management & Support (f/m/x) shall lead and manage a team of experienced project portfolio management and Backoffice team members in different ZEISS locations and regions within the Corporate IT. In that role, the Team Lead has the task to coach and develop the global team members and is responsible for the preparation of recommendations for management regarding prioritization, resource allocation and processing sequences, taking into account strategic guidelines, resource situation and project performance on a global level.

Furthermore your tasks are:

Technical and disciplinary leadership and control of a team of project-portfolio management experts masters and Backoffice colleagues across several locations globally

Prioritizing group wide IT initiatives based on strategic goals and resource availability • you will support the complete and global IT demand process - from quality assurance of submitted demands, moderation of the decision-making committee to documentation of decisions

Efficient management of the demand, planning and budget process

Preparation and implementation of regular IT portfolio meetings

Hold regular 1:1s, feedbacks, and growth conversations to plan and support career development, including coaching and mentoring

Your Profile

Master’s degree in business administration, computer science, business informatics or project management

Profound professional project management experience and proven track-record in the introduction and further development of IT portfolio management

Profound knowledge of agile methodologies and agile scaling frameworks, preferred with certification in e.g., Scrum Master, IPMA/GPM, SAFe, PMI, Prince2

Strong leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent understanding of processes and connections in project, program, and portfolio management

Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems

Excellent knowledge and skills in project portfolio management and controlling (budgeting, KPI, resource allocation, reporting)

Proficiency in both German and English, with strong negotiation skills
