Your role

The Team Lead IT-Project Management Coaching, Development & Tools (f/m/x) shall lead and manage a team of experienced project management coaches, trainers, and scrum masters as well as our product owners for our group-wide project and portfolio management (PPM) tool basket. The team is located mainly in Oberkochen, Jena and Munich but will also be deployed in different ZEISS locations and regions. In that role, the Team Lead has the task to coach and develop the team members, supports the trainers and scrum masters in coaching and mentoring of IT project managers on a global level in the application of agile, hybrid and classic ZEISS project management standards. Furthermore

  • the technical and disciplinary leadership and control of a team of project-management coaches / scrum masters and PPM Tool product owners across several locations
  • supporting the team within intensive coaching and mentoring of IT project managers on a global level in the application of agile, hybrid and classic ZEISS project management standards
  • accountable for the IT Project Management Framework (IT-PMF), ensuring that our standards, processes, methods and best practices are up-to-date
  • identifying gaps and development and continuous improvement of training and education concepts
  • developing and implementing training and development programs to continuously strengthen competencies in agile methods and tools
  • harmonizing and consolidating of project portfolio management (PPM) tools on global view and provide a structured approach of a PPM-Tool-basket (including dedicated training concepts) for segment PPM-Tool demands
  • Hold regular 1:1s, feedbacks, and growth conversations to plan and support career development, including coaching and mentoring
  • building and promoting a community of practice for project management across the organization involving IT project managers, segments and product owners fostering an agile and collaborative work culture to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of teams

Your profile

  • Master's degree in business administration, computer science, business informatics or project management
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional project management experience and proven track-record in leading agile IT projects
  • Profound knowledge of agile methodologies and agile scaling frameworks, preferred with certification in e.g., Scrum Master, IPMA/GPM, SAFe, PMI
  • Capability to conduct training sessions and workshops for teams and stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Ability to manage relationships and communication with executive leadership level
  • Skill in facilitating various agile ceremonies and workshops, ensuring active participation, engagement, and productive outcomes
  • Very good methodological skills in moderation, motivation, change management and team development
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries
  • Proficiency in both German and English, with strong negotiation skills
