Head of People

As the Head of People, you play a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on HR leader with at least 5+ years of relevant experience working across organizations (ideally service-providers) to truly make a difference during our company’s exciting phase of growth and change.
What you´ll do
You implement strategic initiatives for all-things-HR in alignment with the company strategy and objectives, to attract, retain, and develop top talent. You lead our People Team of 4 people and in strong, hands-on collaboration with the Team, drive all areas of HR:
- Talent Attraction. You lead recruitment efforts, ensuring that the right talent is onboarded and engaged on all seniority levels. You successfully guide the Team through recruiting challenges such as high-volume recruiting peaks and searching for unique profiles. You manage external partnerships (e.g., staffing agencies), and implement strategic hiring initiatives.
- People Operations. You develop people-centric operational HR policies and processes while ensuring full compliance with German labour laws and regulations.
- Staffing. You ensure efficient and strategic workforce planning to meet company’s growth targets and dynamic changes in team set-up needs in our agency setting.
- Business Partnering. You act as a strong business partner and go-to person for team members on all levels, from strategizing and aligning with the CEO and Leadership Team, to empowering and supporting mid-management and staying close to the whole Team.
- Satisfaction & Engagement. You foster a positive and engaging (hybrid) working environment in alignment with ctrl QS culture, ensuring high levels of team member satisfaction and commitment across all teams. You develop our Employer Value Proposition and manage our Employer Brand on channels like Kununu and Glassdoor.
- Performance Management & Development. You manage performance review systems, career paths and employee development initiatives in close alignment with our Learning Organization department.
- Compensation & Benefits. You oversee salary structures and processes, bonus programs, and ensure competitive and fair compensation practices.
- Experience. You have minimum 5+ years of relevant HR experience in dynamic environments, ideally across various organizations of comparable size, such as agencies or service providers.
- Hands-on HR Expertise. You have a strong background in all areas of HR, including recruitment, HR operations, performance management, labour law and employee engagement. You love to dive into various topics and are strong at implementing.
- Leadership Skills. You have a demonstrated ability to lead and empower at all levels, with a track record of building and maintaining high-performing teams.
- Business Acumen. You have experience working closely with C-level and executive leadership, providing insights, challenging the status quo and collaborating for highest business impact.
- People-centricity. You prioritize people at the center of an organization's operations and decision-making, while considering the bigger picture and strategy.
- Communication. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with employees across all levels of the organization and external stakeholders, including change and reputation management. You speak fluent English and ideally advanced German.
- Education. A degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field is a plus.
