Unsere Chance

Our Team
Our global Finance team includes over 100 colleagues working together to provide support to our international offices, covering everything from client accounts and billing to office accounts and taxation. In terms of our German offering, we currently have around 60+ Partners and Lawyers practising on a broad range of areas such as Corporate including mergers and acquisitions, Real Estate including commercial real estate investments and International Dispute Resolution. Our clients range from private mid-tier companies to publicly listed enterprises, and cover a wide range of industries such as automotive, energy and utilities and hospitality and leisure. You will join our excellent German support teams, who cover everything from secretarial services to finance and billing, to support our lawyers in delivering the best service to their clients.
Our Opportunity
You will be responsible for the financial control of our German offices, manage the local financial control, treasury, statutory reporting, reconciliations and taxation compliance. You will also be working with the wider group finance team based in Europe and US to support group reporting, partner finances, cross border taxes and budgeting, as well as providing financial support to the German Office Managing Partners. You will manage the German Finance team of six, consisting of three accounting specialists and three billing specialists, in order to control the German books ensuring accuracy of daily, monthly and annual reporting. You will also assist in identifying opportunities and taking the lead in driving process improvements and efficiencies, as well as managing other finance related projects. Other duties may be assigned as required to support the wider team according to the needs of the business, truly no two days will be the same
You
To be successful in the role you will have at least 5 years' experience working within a similar finance management role, preferably within legal services or other professional services organisation. You will need to be fluent in German and English (written and spoken) and possess strong people and project management skills, adapting your work style while working on a number of time sensitive projects. You will achieve your goals by exhibiting a confident and professional approach, utilising your excellent communication skills to work with, and build trust-based relationships with, a wide range of stakeholders. You will also be a problem solver, delivery focused, compliance aware and able to manage a local team, continuing to build a high performing, cohesive team environment.
