Omio is pursuing a vision of bringing global transport into a single distribution system and creating end to end magical consumer journeys. While the whole world of air, hotels or car rental is normalised, rail, bus, ferries, airport transfer, all forms of ground transport are fragmented on a local level.

Omio is the largest source of inventory with 1000+ suppliers operating in 35 countries in Europe and North America. Along with their two brands, Rome2Rio used for global discovery, and Omio used for ticketing and journeys, they attract 600m+ users on a yearly basis while continuing to launch new geographies, new verticals and new products as they scale. It’s a team based in Berlin, with offices also in London, Prague and Melbourne.

Job Description

We are looking for a Director of Product to lead our Coverage supply efforts. 

Simply put, we are looking for a visionary leader and vibrant team member who can envision, strategize and execute on the future of our supply.

What are the specific tasks for this role?

Oversee the vision, strategy, and detailed roadmap for the Coverage tribe.

Mentor and manage Product managers in your tribe to help deliver the Coverage strategy. 

Nurture a data-first culture, where goals, roadmap prioritisation and processes are driven by KPIs and focused on customer needs

Communicate your tribe's vision, goals, and progress across the company at every opportunity, ensuring that the customer is at the heart of every decision in the product organisation and beyond

Work closely with senior stakeholders in commercial, operations and marketing to align business goals, customer needs and product vision

What does a typical Director of Product do at Omio?

Establish a shared vision across the company by building agreement on product execution with an understanding of Omio's USPs

Lead a team of seasoned Product Managers

Guide product development with several groups of experienced engineers and design leaders

Own the outcome of the Coverage supply tribe, providing detailed insights into KPIs for the management team

Work closely with other leadership members to set and influence company product strategy

You'll report to the VP Coverage with connections to other leadership team members in Tech, Commercial, Design, and Marketing.

Qualifications

What you bring to the table

You'll have over 10 years experience in Product development

You’ll have experience mentoring, coaching, and managing a team of product managers

You'll have a background in launching products that improve the business

You have a strong analytical mindset and approach (qualitative and quantitative), using data to understand users, uncover insights and prioritise your roadmap

You have a passion for balancing data-driven and customer-centric product management, always thinking about what the customer needs

You've shipped complex products in a fast-growing company before while working with non-tech team members

You're a natural storyteller who loves to engage the wider organisation, sharing insights, results, and plans.
