Job Summary:
The VP, North Europe is responsible for defining and executing Masimo's strategic vision across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and other. This role drives commercial growth, operational excellence, and market expansion in alignment with the company's global objectives. The incumbent leads a team of Regional and Country Managers, ensuring strong collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Medical Affairs, and other internal functions. Success in this position requires exceptional sales leadership, strategic thinking, P&L management experience, and a deep understanding of the healthcare environment within the assigned region, particularly in acute care and patient monitoring solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Define and implement Masimo's strategic vision within the assigned region ensuring alignment with global goals and values.
- Drive business growth and market expansion across the assigned region through strong strategic and operational leadership.
- Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing regional team focused on sales excellence, customer satisfaction, and long-term success.
- Strengthening Masimo's market position by promoting adoption of Masimo's core technologies and innovative monitoring solutions.
- Act as the executive representative for key accounts and healthcare institutions, building trusted relationships and ensuring customer loyalty.
- Manage the regional P&L, budgets, and pricing strategies in line with corporate guidelines.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, and OEM collaborations to expand Masimo's footprint in the region.
- Monitor market dynamics, competitive trends, and performance metrics to anticipate challenges and adapt strategies proactively.
- Collaborate with internal functions (Marketing, Medical Affairs, Legal, Finance, HR, etc.) to ensure efficient execution and compliance.
- Build a strong performance culture by recruiting, coaching, and retaining top talent while holding teams accountable to results.
- Promote employee engagement and continuous development through training, succession planning, and feedback initiatives.
Represent Masimo at key regional industry events and lead special strategic projects as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing or Engineering is required.
- Minimum of seven years of sales and business management experience in the medical device industry — ideally within vital signs monitoring, pulse oximetry, resuscitation technologies, or other capital equipment segments.
- Proven track record of driving business growth through both direct sales and distributor networks, consistently achieving or exceeding targets within budget.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and inspire teams at all organizational levels to deliver strong commercial results.
- Strong consultative selling skills and excellent interpersonal abilities when dealing with executive-level customers, partners, and healthcare stakeholders.
- Recognized for earning the trust and respect of customers, clinicians, distributors, and colleagues through credibility and integrity.
- Solid understanding of international and regional market dynamics, with specific knowledge of the assigned region healthcare landscape, being a strong advantage.
- Fluent in English and German (both written and spoken)
- Highly motivated, energetic, and results-driven, with a high capacity for managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills, combined with sound judgment and negotiation abilities.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills, with attention to detail and operational discipline.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical business practices, equality, and respect in all interactions.
