With 40,000+ employees globally, our client is looking to hire a Global Category Manager to handle the Indirects categories for their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a great growing procurement team in one of the fastest-growing industries globally.

Responsibilities:
  • Independent planning and execution of strategic procurement projects, in particular, preparation, development, and execution of complex tenders in the area of Indirect purchasing for the Strategy, Business Consulting, Legal, and Services product groups. Ensuring uniform procurement processes across the Group (including internationally).
  • Further development and implementation of the optimal sourcing strategy.
  • Advising the specialist departments concerning a sourcing and negotiation strategy that is optimal for their needs.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with the relevant stakeholders in the Group.
  • Definition of negotiation strategies and independent negotiation management with the conclusion of framework and complex project contracts in the service environment.
  • Elaborate on alternative courses of action and make decisions on awarding contracts
  • Development of cost optimization strategies Implementation of suitable measures
  • Establishment and further development of strategic supplier relationships
  • Carrying out supplier evaluations and initiating appropriate measures in close coordination with the specialist departments
 
Qualifications:
  • Completed studies and many years of relevant professional experience in national / international strategic purchasing for services and works.
  • Confident appearance and skillful negotiation skills
  • Assertive team player
  • Strong communicator and pragmatic personality with a high sense of responsibility and service mentality
  • You enjoy change and have the drive to actively shape your area of responsibility
