Your Responsibilities

As the
Head of
Human Resources
, you will
shape the HR strategy, policies, and culture
and play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership and senior management team on all people-related matters as well as identifying and addressing hiring needs
  • Lead and optimize both the recruitment process as well as the onboarding of new hires
  • Work with leadership team to design a compensation and benefits framework that scales.
  • Help shape leadership development, communication practices, and team collaboration.
  • Be a resource to the whole team and provide guidance and counsel and mediation where necessary
  • Maintain and develop HR best-practice processes and policies (onboarding, performance, compensation, compliance, offboarding, maternity leaves etc.).
  • Optimize a fair and transparent performance review process, create feedback loops and define career paths and training to promote growth and retention
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws, payroll regulations, and data privacy requirements.
  • Improve and expand our employee handbook, code of conduct, and internal HR documentation as well as implementing any necessary tools and templates.
  • Create job descriptions, interview templates, and candidate evaluation tools.
  • Plan and execute internal team-building events and initiatives to foster a positive work environment and promote our company culture and values.
  • Maintain and manage the vacation calendar, staffing schedules, and team capacity planning.

What We're Looking For

We're searching for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with:

  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources,
  • Proven track record of setting up HR systems, policies, or teams from scratch.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance.
  • Experience in startups or small, fast-growing companies is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and German.
