ABOUT THE ROLE
ProfessionLX specializes in professional services where we engage our employees to empower them to excel for our customers. We are currently seeking part-time IT Specialist candidates to join our team in support of the US Air Force in Ramstein Air Base. This part-time role provides education and basic IT support in an on-base learning environment, assisting with classroom activities, instructional technology, and day-to-day technical needs. The position follows established programs and schedules and is well suited to individuals with relevant paid or volunteer experience who are comfortable supporting learners and technology in a structured setting.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
This role provides part-time education and IT support services in a dynamic, on-base learning environment. The individual will support instructional activities by assisting with classroom setup, facilitating the use of educational technology, and helping students and staff navigate learning platforms and computer systems. Work may include supporting scheduled classes, workshops, and training sessions, as well as responding to ad hoc requests for technical or instructional assistance.
The position also involves basic troubleshooting of classroom and office technology, maintaining instructional materials and equipment, and ensuring learning spaces are prepared and functional. The role works closely with Education Office staff and follows established procedures, schedules, and curricula rather than developing new programs independently.
Hours vary based on program needs and may include evenings or weekends. This is a hands-on, service-oriented position best suited for someone who is comfortable working with learners, technology, and changing daily priorities in a structured, supervised environment. Relevant paid or volunteer experience in education, training, IT support, or community programs is acceptable.
Applicants must be able to work legally in Germany without employer sponsorship and meet U.S. installation access requirements.
RequirementsEducation
High school diploma or equivalent required. College coursework or training in education, information technology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Skills
Comfortable supporting users with basic computer systems, educational technology, and common software applications. Able to communicate clearly with learners and staff, follow established procedures, manage changing priorities, and provide reliable, customer-focused support in a structured environment.
Experience
Relevant paid or volunteer experience in education, training, IT support, community programs, or similar environments is acceptable. Experience supporting classrooms, workshops, or group learning activities is a plus but not required.
