About the role
We are looking for a Senior Business Development Lead who acts less like a salesperson and more like a detective. Your mission is to take our core technology, explore potential verticals, and identify the "Killer Application". You will be the bridge between the chaotic reality of customer needs and our engineering lab, helping us pivot from "cool tech" to "essential product."
Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the "Zero to One" phase of our commercialization efforts.
Market Exploration & Validation: Systematically test hypotheses across different verticals (e.g., Logistics, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Construction). You will figure out who needs our technology the most and why. Design & Execute Pilot Programs: Secure and manage paid Pilots and Proof of Concepts (POCs) with early-adopter customers. You aren't just selling a box; you are designing a solution alongside the customer.The "Voice of the Market": Bring brutal truths back to the engineering and product teams. You will translate customer pain points into technical requirements, effectively shaping our product roadmap.Develop the GTM Strategy: Once the ideal use case is identified, you will build the playbook for scaling sales, pricing models, and partnership ecosystems. Strategic Partnerships: Forge relationships with hardware integrators, software platforms, and industry leaders to accelerate our market entry.Essential Skills
Experience: 5-8+ years in Business Development, Product Strategy, or Technical Sales within Deep Tech, AI, or Robotics.Track Record: A proven history of finding Product-Market Fit for a new technology or launching a new product line.Technical Aptitude: You don't need to write code, but you must understand the fundamentals of specific tech, and e.g., SLAM, Neural Networks and Actuators.Education: BA/BSrequired; MBA or Engineering degree is a strong plus.

You understand the limitations of current robotics/AI and can manage customer expectations without overpromising.A Hunter-Gatherer: You are comfortable cold-calling a factory manager one day and presenting to a C-suite executive the next. You don't wait for leads; you create them.Data-Driven & Intuitive: You make decisions based on market signals and data, not just gut feeling. You know the difference between a polite "that's interesting" and a genuine buying signal.Resilient: You thrive in ambiguity. You understand that in a startup, the strategy might change three times in a month, and you view a "No" as a data point, not a failure.
