Team DescriptionYou'll join the team behind SumUp's global relationships with banks, acquirers, and card schemes. This small, high-impact team drives our ability to launch new markets, optimise transaction costs, and maintain compliance and reliability in every payment we process.
As a Payment Partnerships Manager, you'll support ongoing partner relationships, coordinate operational and compliance requests, and help strengthen SumUp's global payment network. You'll collaborate closely with our PayOps, Compliance, Legal, and Finance teams — working at the intersection of strategy, operations, and partner management.

What You'll Do- Manage day-to-day requests from external partners such as banks, acquirers, and card schemes
- Coordinate information requests, onboarding documentation, and annual due diligence questionnaires
- Leverage your understanding of SQL and data analytics tools to build queries, analyse performance metrics, and present actionable insights
- Support compliance and KYC refresh processes in collaboration with internal teams
- Maintain regular partner communications and assist in meetings, reporting, and follow-ups
- Work cross-functionally with PayOps, Finance, and Compliance to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of partnership requirements
- You have 2-4 years of experience in payments, fintech, or banking, and are eager to grow into a broader partnerships role.
- You bring solid communication and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple partner requests at once.
- You're familiar with payment ecosystems: schemes, acquirers, issuers, or PSPs.
- You have an analytical mindset and commercial and financial acumen (e.g. understanding incentives, transaction economics, fee structures).
- You're proactive, adaptable, and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
