The department Service NCE Central is responsible for the Service Operations in the countries Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Hungary. Over 1.000 Service Technicians and appr. 250 office based colleagues are busy every day to fulfill our customers' needs.

Your responsibilities:

  • You are a member of the Service Onshore Central Management Team and will be aligning with regional management to set goals and strategy for the subregional Service teams
  • Overall responsibility for the key economic figures of the subregion ('PnL') as well as the development and implementation of cost-reduction and efficiency-enhancement initiatives
  • Responsibility for managing the main KPIs (operational and safety) of the subregion
  • Disciplinary leadership as well as close collaboration and management of the (Senior) Area Managers and the team leaders of BackOffice, the CRM team and special task
  • Customer management and representing Vestas' interests to the customers while simultaneously showing genuine interest in the business cases of key individual customers
  • Close collaboration with the other directors of the region, OD Central, NCE stakeholders such as WTG Engineering, Supply Chain, and the Training Academy
  • Responsibility for all technical issues and their timely resolution, including the management of all cases of continuous improvement management (CIM, TPM, etc.) as well as the ongoing enhancement of the performance of the wind turbines in the portfolio
  • Supporting the sales and delivery of competitive solutions to customers by identifying and providing technical solutions for the operation and commissioning of wind turbines, aiming to increase service revenue in the areas of fleet optimization, parts & repair, and new maintenance contracts
  • Managing the performance management governance of the own subregion by hosting the regular operational performance meetings and continuously improving the focus on actions which influence the relevant KPIs

Your qualifications:

  • You hold a university degree, such as a master's degree in engineering, mathematics, or physics, business studies, economics or have equivalent experience
  • Additionally, you have several years of experience as a manager in similar roles and can provide examples of your effective leadership skills
  • Ideally, you hold several years of experience in leading managers of teams ('Leading Leaders')

Your competencies:

  • Good financial and legal understanding as well as analytical skills, combined with the ability to engage in technical and contractual matters
  • Ability to understand and utilize analytical IT tools (such Power BI)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in both one-on-one and group settings, in both German and English
  • Solid negotiation skills, the ability to quickly understand our business, and to recognize what creates value for the customer
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with both external customers and internal departments at various levels

The preferred work location is Berlin. In this role you will report directly to the Vice President Service Onshore Central.
