The AI team at Agile Robots is seeking a passionate and experienced Robot Learning Engineer to join our mission of advancing intelligent robotics. We're looking for a candidate with 4+ years of hands-on experience applying Deep Learning techniques to robotic manipulators, with a strong focus on areas such as Imitation Learning, Behavior Cloning, and related methodologies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and develop end-to-end robot learning systems with a strong focus on imitation learning and related techniques.
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate robotics experiments, ensuring scientific rigor and reproducibility of results.
  • Implement advanced robot control policies conditioned on vision, language, and multimodal inputs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with AI, robotics, and hardware teams in a fast-paced environment to prototype, refine, and deploy real-world robotic applications.
  • Monitor and integrate the latest advancements in robot learning, contributing to the team's research direction and innovation.
  • Work closely with the Robotics team to design, build, and optimize AI-driven robotic solutions.
  • Participate in deployment activities, including on-site testing and support — travel may be required up to 30% of the time.

Essential Skills

  • Master's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, and/or Robotics, with a strong focus on real-world applications.
  • Proficient in Python, with clean, efficient coding practices and experience in building scalable systems.
  • Hands-on experience in Robot Learning, including working with models such as OpenVLA, Pi0, or similar state-of-the-art approaches.
  • Practical experience in robotic manipulation, preferably involving real-world robotic systems.
  • Proficient with major machine learning frameworks, such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Beneficial Skills

  • Experience in developing, integrating, and maintaining robotic software systems, preferably in real-world deployment scenarios.
  • Strong background in robotic perception, including techniques such as object pose estimation.
  • Segmentation, optical flow, depth prediction, tracking, or SLAM. Experience applying deep learning methods to perception tasks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with a variety of robotic sensors, such as tactile and force sensors, and integrating them into control or learning pipelines.
  • Demonstrated experience applying machine learning techniques within robotic systems, bridging the gap between AI models and physical-world performance.
