To strengthen our management team, we are currently seeking an experienced and strategically minded
Head of Business Development & Sales (m/f/d)
to drive our commercial growth and expand our global footprint.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Business Development and Sales organization on a strategic and operational level
  • Define and implement growth strategies to expand markets, customer base, and strategic partnerships
  • Take ownership of revenue and profitability targets and identify new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships with international partners across Pharma, Biotech, and Life Sciences sectors
  • Manage complex customer projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing Business Development & Sales team
  • Collaborate closely with senior management, production, marketing, and R&D
  • Apply data-driven and modern sales strategies (CRM systems, market intelligence, AI-based tools)

Your Profile
Education & Experience

  • University degree in Business, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related discipline
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MSc, or PhD) preferred
  • 5–10 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or a commercial leadership role
  • Proven track record in the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare, or Life Sciences, ideally in a CDMO environment
  • Demonstrated success in revenue growth, market expansion, and strategic partnerships
  • Experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder customer projects
  • International experience is an advantage

  • Strong leadership capabilities and team management experience
  • Strategic, analytical, and hands-on mindset with a results-oriented approach
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills across all levels
  • Entrepreneurial thinking, high initiative, and strong customer focus
  • Cultural awareness and ability to operate effectively in an international environment
  • High integrity, reliability, and professional demeanor
  • Fluent in English; good German skills are an advantage

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to travel within Europe and to Asia
  • Experience with CRM systems and data-driven sales strategies
  • Strong affinity for modern digital tools (e.g., AI, Microsoft 365, etc.)
  • Established network within relevant industries is a plus
  • Regular presence in Andernach (minimum 3 days per week)
