For the division Engineering department Certification at Elevate Aircraft Seating in Kaiserslautern, we are looking for a skilled
Manager Certification (all genders)
Your Duties – (Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested):
- As Manager Certification, you plan, direct, and oversee all certification activities for projects, including design changes and new developments.
- You develop and maintain Certification Plans, Means of Compliance, and Compliance Demonstration Matrices.
- You review and approve compliance documentation to ensure full alignment with certification bases and regulatory standards.
- You monitor certification progress, ensuring on-time delivery and regulatory acceptance.
- You ensure complete traceability, configuration control, and validation of all design data used in certification.
- You lead technical reviews, conformity inspections, and design validation activities.
- You coordinate certification topics across Design, Production, Airworthiness, Quality, and Continued Airworthiness departments.
- You liaise with customers, suppliers, integrators, and authorities on certification matters.
- You maintain and continuously improve certification procedures, manuals, and processes.
- You train and mentor engineering teams in certification standards and best practices.
- You lead your team with clear goals, project focus, and respect for company values, performing disciplinary management in line with HR policies.
- You support company leadership in budget and resource planning, project acquisition, innovation initiatives, and technical marketing.
- You ensure compliance with security protocols and address any IT, infrastructure, or building security issues to protect data integrity and operations.
Your Qualifications:
- You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics; aviation-related studies are an advantage.
- You bring at least 8 years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in aircraft seating.
- You have in-depth knowledge of EASA Part 21J, CS standards, and airworthiness regulations.
- You demonstrate strong expertise in aircraft design, systems engineering, and certification-related disciplines such as safety, environmental protection, and human factors.
- You possess excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- You collaborate confidently across all organizational levels and lead negotiations with professionalism.
- You understand and anticipate customer needs, acting with urgency and commitment to exceed expectations.
- You take initiative, make sound decisions, and drive innovative solutions with creativity and reliability.
- You set clear goals aligned with company objectives and adapt effectively to changing environments.
