About the Client and Role
Our client, a global technology and engineering services organisation, is expanding its presence across Europe and is seeking a
Director of Account Management
to support growth within the automotive and digital manufacturing sectors. This position focuses on developing strategic customer relationships, driving revenue growth, and broadening the adoption of advanced engineering and digital solutions across key accounts. The role requires strong domain expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams to deliver high-value outcomes for customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead revenue generation activities across major accounts, particularly within the automotive and engineering ecosystem.
- Identify opportunities to expand engineering and digital services within existing client organisations, supporting cross-selling across various technology areas.
- Collaborate with engineering and technology practice teams to position and sell solutions into key accounts.
- Guide customer discussions using in-depth knowledge of automotive engineering and digital manufacturing.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through problem-solving, consultative engagement, and thought leadership.
- Work closely with horizontal sales, delivery, and functional teams to define and tailor digital engineering offerings.
- Coordinate with European partner and engineering services teams to develop joint go-to-market initiatives.
- Execute growth strategies while collaborating with internal stakeholders across sales, delivery, and marketing functions.
- Support regional marketing efforts, including campaigns and promotional initiatives.
- Consistently achieve sales revenue and gross margin targets, contributing to new business acquisition and account expansion.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in account management, business development, or sales within automotive engineering or digital manufacturing.
- Strong experience in digital engineering domains such as Digital Twin, cloud and platform engineering, and semiconductor-related services.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
- Experience developing best practices, packaged solutions, and workshop content is highly beneficial.
- Excellent relationship-building, presentation, and communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken) is essential.
