About the role:

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will drive strategic growth across a designated area by identifying, developing, and securing high-impact partnerships and revenue opportunities. This role spans multiple channels, including retail, distribution, e-commerce, B2B, and insurance, and involves collaboration with diverse partners across various product categories. You will be empowered to think creatively, act with agility, and take full ownership of growth initiatives that deliver sustainable, mid- to long-term sales and profit growth for OMRON Healthcare.

Location: Mannheim, Germany (Hybrid)

Key Activities:

  • Drive the development and execution of the Business Development strategy for Germany and Austria to reach OMRON's mid/long-term sustainable profit and growth objectives. 
  • Track market trends and customer needs to guide decisions. Identify and evaluate new business opportunities across channels, product categories, and potential partnerships.
  • Designed and executed go-to-market plans for new opportunities in collaboration with key teams. Embrace a test-and-learn mindset to pilot bold ideas.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop business cases, validate opportunities, and drive successful implementation.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to shape business cases, test new opportunities, and lead successful implementation.
  • Lead implementation of approved opportunities and integrate them smoothly into the existing organization.
  • Regularly track and report key Business Development KPIs, pipeline, revenue, and ROI to management. Ensure thorough ROI analysis for implemented opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years' relevant commercial or business development experience
  • Proven success in driving commercialization strategies in high-growth environments
  • Extensive knowledge of the healthcare business and ideally experience in establishing distribution with healthcare professionals and institutions
  • Able to navigate complexity and collaborate across diverse, cross-functional teams
  • Entrepreneurial spirit proactive, opportunity spotting, and action-oriented
  • Commercially savvy: knows how to craft win-win deals and understand margins, pricing dynamics, and value propositions
  • Analytically strong: backs up the gut and entrepreneurial instinct with data and can evaluate success using KPIs and performance metrics
  • Resourceful, agile solution-oriented, thrives in fast-paced, dynamic settings
  • Fluent in English & German (written & verbal)
