Molecule and BIO.xyz are building the foundation of Decentralized Science (DeSci) — where biotech meets web3 to make scientific research community-owned, transparent, and faster to market.

Molecule provides the infrastructure to turn intellectual property (IP) into programmable, on-chain assets through our IP-NFT framework and evolving protocol stack. This enables researchers, patients, and communities to fund and govern biotech projects in new, open ways.

BIO.xyz is the coordination and economic layer of DeSci, powering BioDAOs through funding, governance, and ecosystem alignment.

Together, we are creating a new model for scientific discovery — one where breakthroughs are owned and advanced by the communities that believe in them.

We’re seeking a **Head of Operations** to manage our European operations and ensure smooth execution across contracts, finance, and compliance. You’ll work closely with the CEO & the wider leadership team to keep Molecule organised, scalable, and compliant as we expand internationally. In addition to strong operational and financial expertise, you’ll bring domain knowledge in biotech and commercial/e-commerce models, anchoring Molecule in proven business practices.

**What You'll be Doing**:
**European Operations Management**
- Manage Molecule’s European cross-border operations, including contracts, payroll, and financial transactions.
- Oversee vendor and partner relationships, ensuring obligations and service levels are met.
- Coordinate with external advisors (legal, compliance, tax) to maintain cross-border regulatory compliance.

**Finance & Compliance**
- Partner on budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cost management.
- Ensure accurate expense tracking, payments, and compliance with European accounting standards.
- Support fundraising operations and investor reporting.
- Maintain audit readiness and risk management frameworks.

**Operational Excellence**
- Build and refine scalable processes across operations, finance, and administration.
- Drive project execution across teams, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Implement systems and tools that support efficiency and alignment in a remote-first environment.

**Domain-Specific Contribution**
- Leverage understanding of biopharma R&D processes, regulatory frameworks, and collaboration models.
- Bring experience in scaling marketplaces, SaaS, or high-volume commercial operations - introducing best practices in transaction management, customer operations, and commercial KPIs.

**Cross-Functional Coordination**
- Translate strategic priorities from leadership into operational action plans.
- Ensure product, science, and community teams have the operational support they need.
- Track and report progress against Molecule’s OKRs and key initiatives.

**What You Bring to the Table**:

- 5+ years’ experience in operations, finance, or business management roles (startup/scale-up experience a plus).
- Strong knowledge of **European cross-border operations** (contracts, compliance, payroll, financial transactions).
- Proven track record in building and streamlining operational processes.
- Solid financial literacy and comfort working alongside finance professionals.
- Domain expertise in** biotech/pharma** and/or **commercial/e-commerce models**.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills; comfortable juggling multiple priorities.
- Clear communicator with experience in distributed, remote-first teams.
- Hands-on, pragmatic, and execution-driven.
