Our fast-moving VC backed startup surrounding come along with numerous international legal challenges. We are searching for a Legal Counsel supporting our Head of Legal in all corporate law related questions as well us in our group-wide, international insurance set-up. Ownership for the topic of data protection can, but does not necessarily need to be part of this job with broad responsibilities.
**Your responsibilities**
- Together with a growing legal team, you will contribute to build up processes and strategies to support the air up group to create international scalability and success stories
- You will be responsible to ensure corporate legal set-up and maintenance in our international entities with support of foreign external advisors
- You are responsible for communication with German authorities for all corporate related topics
- You will manage our whole insurance portfolio and ensure group-wide protection
- You will manage insurance cases
- Nice to have: You take responsibility for the topic of data protection, ensure group-wide compliance, maintain our privacy policy and deal with data protection requests
**That's you**
- You have a German law degree (2.Staatsexamen)
- You are fluent in English and German (C2); further languages are a plus
- You have a high-level commitment and the ability to work under pressure, a confident attitude and strong communication skills
- Unknown areas motivate you - within a matter of days you become immersed in them
- You are a quick learner and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- You are a self-starter sharing our hands-on mentality and bring great interpersonal skills with being able to build strong and mutually respectful relationships
- You love to connect dots and think 360°, taking not only the legal point of view but also the business point of view into account
- You gained relevant experience in an international corporate law firm or alternatively in as an in-house legal counsel in a startup or a young company dealing with corporate and/or insurance cases
- Alternatively, you have a law degree (Bar Exam) of another EU member state
