AUFGABEN

Senior Legal Counsel with the potential to take on a Managing Counsel role by functionally leading the legal in-house counsel of one or more Divisions - reporting to the Head of Corporate Legal TÜV SÜD AG

Provide legal advice to the management and operations of TÜV SÜD´s Mobility Service and Real Estate & Infrastructure Divisions (field Infrastructure)

Draft, review and negotiate national and international contracts for the mobility and infrastructure sectors, inter alia related to highly autonomous driving, e-mobility, functional safety, handling of highly sensitive vehicle data, homologation/ type approvals inter alia with OEMs in the legal fields of commercial law, product safety, regulatory affairs (e.g. supporting the operational legal entities in communications with accreditation bodies like DAkkS)

Work cross-functionally in interdisciplinary projects (e.g. providing legal support in national and international M&A projects in the mobility and infrastructure sectors)

Support the Strategic Account Management in negotiating framework contracts for the Divisions

Provide legal trainings for employees and management

Liaise with legal in-house counsel in operational legal entities in Germany and abroad, with the potential to functionally lead them in the future

Liaise with our legal in-house Team in the US

QUALIFIKATIONEN

Fully qualified German lawyer (1st and 2nd state exams) or equivalent, ranking in the top 10% of the class/graduation with honors (“Prädikatsexamen”)

At least 5 years of experience in a law firm or as in-house legal in an international environment

Excellent analytical and conceptual skills

Interest in international, new, and complex legal issues

Great team-player with ample self-motivation, as well as strong communication and negotiation skills

Leadership / management experience and skills would be a plus

Pragmatic approach with desire to work cross-functionally

Keen interest in legal tech developments

Excellent command of written and spoken German and English

Willingness to travel

International mindset, embracing and fostering diversity in a multilateral work environment
