In light of a strategic transformation within their procurement functions, our client is on the lookout for a visionary Head of Procurement to guide and shape this essential department.

Seize a greenfield opportunity to construct and lead a professional organization within a matrix organization. This role is perfect for a hands-on leader passionate about crafting and implementing a vision from scratch and driving change.

This position entails three office days per week in the Netherlands, with a company car provided.

Tasks

You will lead by example, promoting best practices, optimizing spend, and co-creating impactful strategies with key stakeholders, all while nurturing a team of professionals towards achieving excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Spearhead the ongoing Procurement transformation, infusing innovation and strategic thinking.
- Develop and implement cutting-edge procurement strategies, processes, and tools.
- Foster a collaborative environment, aligning procurement objectives with business goals across various department
- Directly lead, mentor, and develop a small team of procurement professionals, cultivating a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Lead key negotiations, setting new benchmarks for value creation and cost optimization.
- Monitor and report on progress, ensuring the achievement of strategic milestones.

**Requirements**:
**You are a seasoned procurement or category leader and possess**:

- Proven expertise in strategic procurement, with a flair for leading high-impact initiatives.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, capable of inspiring teams and stakeholders.
- A background in logistics procurement is a plus
- A proactive mindset, with a passion for conceptualizing and executing transformative strategies.
- Fluent in business English, with outstanding negotiation and team management skills.
