**Our client** is looking for a **Head of Legal** to join their team

**About company**

A group of fintech projects that builds and improves the world’s infrastructure using blockchain technology. Our client is a new-generation cryptocurrency financial service and crypto banking for businesses and individuals that allows you to buy, sell, hold and convert, and accept or make crypto payments in both fiat and cryptocurrency reliably and without borders.

**Role in the project**
We are looking for an experienced Head of Legal/ Lawyer to Legal team who can offer a quality and timely process of legal department in Europe.

**Why did the vacancy arise**
The company and the company’s products are growing very fast, there was a need to form a full-fledged Legal department team, supporting the international projects and opening and maintenance of legal entities.

**Responsibilities**:
Understanding of High Risk and experience in international High Risk business;
Obtaining activity licenses;
Legal assessment for tax optimization;
Analysis of counterparty risks and proposals for minimizing them;
Work with regulatory authorities, AML, etc.;
Solving SOF issues for clients;
Filing reports on companies, etc.;
Legal support of international projects of foreign companies, control of compliance with international legislation;
Opening and maintenance of legal entities;
Legal support of corporate activities of foreign companies; legal expertise / development of contracts;
Preparation of legal opinions/consultations on various aspects of international corporate law, preparation of analytical information for subsequent transactions, assessment of legal risks. Presentation of proposals to eliminate inconsistencies with international law and / or the interests of the Company identified during the examination of draft agreements
Legal expertise of international treaties.
Development of international labor contracts in accordance with foreign legislation
Monitoring of foreign legislation, preparation of legal opinions / consultations;
Interaction with foreign service providers;
Participation in negotiations; business correspondence.

**Required skills**:

- Higher legal education, preferably a master’s degree in law (LLM);
- Experience in blockchain and fintech, high risk is a plus
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of international law;
- Experience in large international companies (fintech, high risk) or large international law firms as a legal advisor for at least 5 years is a must;
- English — Advanced
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to build effective interaction with other departments, responsibility, independence, focus on results, the ability to defend one’s point of view, attention to detail, the ability to work with large amounts of information
