Passionate Technical Lead for a Sustainability

We are looking for a driven and passionate individual who is excited about making a positive impact in the world.
We are a Berlin-based startup building an impact management software that helps companies understand their sustainability impact and take action to improve. Our software is powered by a unique impact knowledge base - the NEXUS - which uses NLP to gather sustainability insights about all business activities, products, and services in the world.
We are looking for an experienced technical lead with CTO potential who will be the technical architect of our impact management software and our NLP pipeline.
Tasks
- Take a lead in strategic product decisions
- Plan the technical infrastructure and roadmap for the growing tech team (backend, frontend, machine learning, data engineer)
- Mentor and supervise the team and recruit new people
- Ensure best practices and quality are lived in the team and facilitate ownership in the team
- Hands-on implementation to some extent
**Requirements**:
- Willing take ownership as a potential future CTO
- Startup experience in an early-stage company
- At least 5 years of industry experience as a software developer or machine learning engineer
- Familiarity with our tech stack/services: Python, FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Docker, Strawberry-GraphQL in the backend; Vue.js 2, Vuetify, Nuxt, Vuex in the frontend; AWS and Google Cloud for hosting; Python and various NLP libraries for machine learning
- Technical leadership experience preferred
- Machine learning background preferred
