Translational Research in Oncology (TRIO) is a global academic clinical research organization dedicated to advancing translational cancer research by conducting clinical trials that make a difference.

**Responsibilities**:

- Process Germany and Austrian monthly payroll and remittances utilizing third-party payroll software
- Develop effective and streamlined HR operations processes for Germany
- Manage relations and process staff transitions, including terminations, resignations, and family and medical leave
- Maintains compliance with German labour laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Draft all employee contracts and ensure compliance with all government reporting
- Support global HR initiatives to ensure understanding and adoption at the local level
- Manage/coach on any supervisor/employee issues in consultation with the Director, HR
- Coordination of European recruitment efforts including conducting interviews, reference checks, background checks, and other required verifications
- Manage new-hire setup and coordinate onboarding
- Maintenance of employee personnel files and employee profiles within HRIS
- Involvement in supporting and collaborating on international HR projects
- Involvement with employees at the national and international level
- Assist in the development and maintenance of TRIO’s HR policies and processes
- On-boarding and off-boarding processes
- The continuous consulting of managers and employees on all personnel-related issues is part of your daily business.
- You will actively work on the permanent further development, optimization, and implementation of HR processes.

**Qualifications**:

- Experienced HR Professional with a minimum 5 years experience in Human Resources
- Bachelor's degree in human resources
- Fluent in German and English, written and verbal is required
- Thorough understanding of labour laws and regulations within Germany
- Demonstrate high attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
- Experience using payroll and Human Resources systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Work well under pressure to meet project deadlines.
- Must work both independently and in a team environment
- Effective time management in order to meet daily metrics and team objectives
