**Intro**

Our client, the world leader in the manufacture, distribution, and service of electronic test tools and software, is looking for a new team member to support its growth - a Human Resources Generalist - English & German (M/F/d) in Berlin. You will challenge, question, and ensure high standards are adhered to within the HR field, ensuring managers are empowered and accountable to fulfill their role as people managers. You will have a passion for people, with great organizational and system skills to join the EMEA HR operations team who are located throughout EMEA.

**Your tasks**
- Acting as the first point of contact for any questions from leaders/ employees relating to HR Policies and processes
- Advising and coaching managers on all employee-related issues, in particular with regard to aspects relevant to labor law, leadership and personnel development, ensuring you are providing support to upskill managers in core HR activities, so they are proficient and fully embrace the role of a people leader
- Driving relationships and being the main point of contact with the relevant works councils, ensuring projects and processes are implemented in line with business and legal requirements
- Working closely and being the main liaison partner with Payroll to ensure HR changes that impact payroll are communicated and implemented promptly, identifying process improvements along the way.
- Processing HR transactions through our HR system (My Fortive) where this is not possible for the manager to implement themselves (starters, leavers, compensation changes)
- Documenting existing processes and creating new processes, policies and other overarching frameworks (e.g. company agreements) in the DACH region, supporting the EMEA team where necessary, including participation in the wider EMEA HR team with discussions, work, and projects
- Being an active supporter of site initiatives to improve upon employee engagement and communication

**Requirements**:
Essential:

- Completed university education with a focus on human resources or adequate other education
- At least 5 years of professional experience in human resources in an internationally oriented company.
- Extensive experience in working with the works' council with particular focus on great negotiating skills
- Very good German and English skills

Nice to have:

- Experience in human resources in a production company would be desirable
- Experience in a global or matrix management organization
- Experience in managing multiple partners with different priorities and in different teams and countries
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
