Warehouse Supervisor

It is the responsibility of the warehouse supervisor to maximize daily operational efficiency through leadership, guidance, and training.

**Responsibilities**

1. Supervising the pick, pull, prep, and return of orders.

2. Supervises warehouse staff.

3. Supports efficient warehouse processes.

4. After-hours support for rental reps.

5. Maintains barcode installation integrity.

6. Building security and theft prevention.

7. Compliance with OSHA and Fire Codes/Inspections.

8. Oversees Prep space.

**1. Supervising the pick, pull, prep, and return of orders by**:

- Ensuring sufficient labor is available to execute orders.
- Ensuring all orders are completed by date shown in Nexus.
- Answering questions from warehouse staff about order and inventory discrepancies.
- Alerting COD about Nexus inventory discrepancies.
- Ensuring equipment is prepped within 7 days of return to the warehouse.
- Optimize and use all available staging space in the warehouse by using isles, trailers, or outside spaces to maximize throughput.

**2. Supervises warehouse staff by**:

- Supply guidance and feedback to employees when needed in the form of verbal and written counseling.
- Performing annual reviews of warehouse staff with ROD.
- Perform quarterly check-in performance evaluations in each department. The bottom performers in each department are to be given guidance on what they need to improve.
- Making recommendations to ROD for internal promotions or new hires to Department Head. Positions of Dept. Head and above require ROD-level approval.
- Ensuring staff are following Christie Lites safety policies and relevant government regulations.
- Meet regularly with Department Heads informing them of changes and upcoming order challenges and to receive feedback on how their team is performing and any staffing challenges that may be occurring.
- Making proper use of Temporary Labor services. Avoid using Labor services as a “permanent” fix for staff shortages.
- Hiring and termination of warehouse staff.
- Perform final interviews for potential new shop staff.
- Ensure staff are properly trained to perform the functions asked of them.

**3. Supports efficient warehouse processes by**:

- Keeping the warehouse clean and organized.
- Ensure the warehouse has proper hardware, storage systems, tools, and machinery.
- Ensuring the Joint Health and Safety Committee meets and performs its regular inspections.
- Maintain, organize, and return as necessary other people’s equipment from show returns.
- Act as a local point of contact for Service providers such as HVAC maintenance, plumbers, electricians, etc.

**4. After-hours support for rental reps by**:

- Available to deal with show critical issues on an after-hour basis.
- Opening warehouse as a part of on-call rotation.

**5. Maintains barcode installation integrity by**:

- Installs barcodes on new products.
- Performs barcode swaps as necessary.
- Manager barcode sticker inventory.

**6. Building security and theft prevention by**:

- Ensure the building is locked and the alarm is armed when building is not occupied.
- Control access to the building during on and off hours

**7. Compliance with OSHA and Fire Codes/Inspections by**:

- Maintain records and schedule fire and sprinkler system inspections.
- Keep the warehouse adhered to OSHA standards.

**8. Oversees Prep space by**:

- Delivering a positive experience to incoming crews.
- Helping prep crews resolve issues around Prep
