**YOUR TASKS** - You lead and you are responsible for a globally acting team of technical experts within Global Service Engineering, which deals with mechanical problems of the entire turbine - Your team works on issues that cannot be solved by local service in the regions worldwide and supports these colleagues with the in-depth expertise of your department - The Global Mechanical Service Engineering acts in the Global Service as a central point of contact between the local service organizations, Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA), Procurement and Engineering for technical issues related to the various mechanical assemblies of wind turbines - You support the local organizations with technical support during the installation, commissioning, and life cycle of the wind turbines - Your team initiates and coordinates the root cause analysis - The assessment of the risk potential and the budgeting of all planned activities is part of your area of responsibility - You assert claims against suppliers and work out commercial solutions in close cooperation with Nordex Claim Management - your team is the technical sparring partner, both internally and externally - You define, implement and secure service processes for mechanical assemblies (e.g. processes for inspections, repairs, on-site complaints, customer reports) - You improve standards and processes and ensure a permanent transfer of knowledge between the relevant departments and locations - If necessary, you work together with external service partners such as universities or specialized engineering service providers - You are responsible for monitoring the operating status of the mechanical subcomponents - You are responsible for the budget and personnel for a department with approx. 35 employees (and growing rapidly) and report to the Director Global Service Engineering - You are responsible for a repair workshop for mechanical components **YOUR PROFIL** - Proven management experience of many years (>5 years) in the environment of a global acting company - Strong, intercultural, empathetic and motivating leader - Preferably many years of experience in dealing with mechanical assemblies of wind turbines or in mechanical and plant engineering - Experience in root cause analysis and contract management - Fluent business English, very good knowledge of German and/or Spanish - Pronounced IT knowledge of standard software such as MS Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, Power BI - Result-oriented, strongly analytical, consistent, dynamic - Experience in the wind turbine industry and in the area of operation & maintenance is an advantage - You are a team player Nordex adheres to a policy of equal employment opportunity.
