About the Job

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Engineering (M/F/d) to join one of our portfolio companies and lead its Engineering strategies.

In your day-to-day work, you’ll focus on leading the technical strategy and infrastructure as well as managing the development team.

**Join our portfolio company**: A German company focused on streamlining home and garden product shoppers’ online shopping experience. A one-stop-shop market leader, the e-commerce platform offers 1M monthly users a full range of services.

**In this role, you’ll**:

- Be responsible for the E-Com Tech landscape (Shop, PIM, ERP, DWH, Infrastructure etc.)
- Lead the development teams both technically and managerially (distributed across different product teams)
- Be responsible for the tech architecture
- Implement and manage the tech stack
- Hire in the start phase

Your Profile
- 5+ years of experience in an E-Commerce environment
- 3+ years of experience in a tech leadership position (technical and team management)
- Strong experience in Fullstack development
- Experience with various e-commerce technologies (Shopware, Shopify, Commercetools, Spryker etc.)
- Hands-on mentality (stay close to the code)
- Fluency in German and English

Please note that we are looking for support in the Hamburg office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work within the EU is required as well.
