With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
Our mission is to provide Google development teams with a viable alternative to production access during development and testing. This work allows teams to move to non-production based practices easily for the majority of their needs, and supports production access when no viable alternative exists or when production is by definition required.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.
**Responsibilities**:
- Design and build alternate solutions that would allow the larger engineering community to adopt non-production based development/testing practices.
- Design and implement solutions to improve the test/release tools and infrastructures, which have a measurable and direct impact on the engineering productivity.
- Develop long-term strategy and roadmap by collaborating with various cross-functional partners.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship to other engineers, and help shape the culture of a new team of engineers.
