This is an exciting opportunity to join Aryza at a pivotal point in its growth and evolution. The role will head up an established Finance team and will be based out of our brand-new office in Düsseldorf.
As Head of Finance Europe you will be responsible for all financial aspects of the business (including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, etc) for the European region (DACH and BeNeLux). This role also has ownership of audit and tax compliance.
Aryza has 11 legal entities in Europe based in Luxembourg, Germany and the Netherlands.
Reporting to the Aryza Group CFO and central finance team your duties as Head of Finance (Europe) include:

- Management of all finance tasks in the European group - (1 x Lux Hold Co, 4x DACH, 6x BeNeLux; comprising 6x Hold Cos, 5x Trading)
- Supporting the Heads of Aryza DACH and Aryza BeNeLux and wider management team in all financial, commercial and tax matters
- Main contact person for internal communication with shareholders / central finance team
- Communication with external parties of all finance related issues (customers, banks, insurance, authorities, auditors, advisors)
- Supporting Post-Merger Integration into the Aryza Group
- Support in all Due Diligence related tasks (Data Room / Questionnaires / Contact Person)

**Your primary responsibilities**:

- Management of the Aryza Europe finance team 12 people (9 based in DACH, 3 based in NL). The team comprises FP&A (2 FTE), Order & Office Management (5 FTE, 3 of which are administrative based) and Accounting (4.5 FTE)
- Responsible for the preparation of the monthly management reporting (currently IFRS), main contact person regarding all technical accounting treatment for accountants in the finance team
- Preparation of quarterly rolling Aryza Europe budgets, tracking actual performance against budget and reporting on same
- Responsible for preparation of financial statements according to IFRS (group reporting) and HGB (statutory reporting)
- Analysis of revenues on a weekly basis (part of this weekly forecast as well as Monitoring of invoicing process)
- Responsible for debtor, creditor and payroll accounting
- Cashflow monitoring and forecasting
- Responsibility for all Cash payments (legitimized authority for all bank accounts)
- Ensuring and complying with tax law requirements and technical responsibility for all tax law issues in DACH (partly also in NL) and main contact person for tax advisors
- Managing of taxable permanent establishment in Belgium and Austria

**Your qualifications**:

- ACA qualified or equivalent
- BSc/BA in Accounting or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Head of Finance, CFO or similar leadership role, 5+ years in a senior financial role
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities
- Experience of using SAP R/3 ERP and ideally knowledge of Oracle Netsuite to support a Group finance transformation project
- Financial accounting and taxation technical knowledge
- IFRS to FRS102 differences
- Transfer pricing, permanent establishment risk
- Understanding of budgets and business-planning processes
- Ability to conduct financial analyses and modelling
- Strategic thinking
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Commercial acumen
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English
