Junior People Operations Partner

About the Role

To strengthen our People Operations Team in Berlin, we are looking for a motivated (Junior) People Operations Partner.

We believe in teamwork and will support you in achieving the best performance with mobile office options and flexible working time models.

**Responsibilities**:
As our new People Operations Partner based in Berlin, you will be the contact person for our employees and external service providers. Among other things, you will be the contact person for VISA matters and you will work with our personnel management system, optimize & structure it.

**Your daily tasks will include**:

- Handling of correspondence and mail processing as well as operational personnel administration for the icon group
- Absence management with FileMaker & Personio
- Payroll accounting as well as the contact person for payroll tax, social security, and labor law issues
- Handling of certificates and attestations
- Coordination of contract documents & job references
- Administration of our HR management system, such as creation & maintenance of HR master data and coordination of the administrative onboarding and offboarding process
- Administration of employee benefits
- Creation, assurance, and optimization of applicable HR processes based on internal guidelines and compliance requirements
- Preparation of statistics, evaluations, and reports in cooperation with HR Leadership and Finance & Controlling
- Contributing to and participating in various HR projects

**Qualifications**:
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills that enable you to easily build and maintain good relationships with co-workers and collaborate with others inside and outside the company. In addition, you are detail-oriented, can quickly familiarize yourself with topics, and are no stranger to a structured way of working.

**Here’s what we think you need to succeed in this role**:
**Must Have**:

- Completed training as a personnel clerk, HR administrator or a comparable qualification
- Willingness to learn new things, especially payroll
- Very good MS Office skills, especially Word, Outlook and Excel
- Structured and reliable way of working
- Business fluent German as well as good English skills

**Nice to have, but not necessary**:

- Knowledge of Labor Law and Social Security Law
- Experience with ATS (Personio)
- Experience working with works council
- Experience with DATEV/LODAS or any other payroll systems
