Supervisory Personnel Support Specialist

**Duties**:
- Serves as the primary personnel specialist at 102nd Signal Battalion.
- Provides staff advisory services to management and employees on the full range of command personnel programs.
- Responds to difficult issues involving complex projects/problems that require expert attention and provides guidance and assistance to subordinate command/activities.
- Provides advisory services, staff assistance, team leader support, coordination and program management for the full range of HR processes and functions.
- Serves as team leader/member of personnel management staff assistance visits, projects, studies and other processes that require other participating members or teams.
- Plans, coordinates and implements the civilian personnel aspects necessary to address organizational redesign, reshape, realignments, human resource development and automation.

- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a no-fee United States Passport.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Temporary duty travel is required up to 25% of the time.
- This position has been designated mission essential. Employee may be required to remain on duty or report for duty during severe weather or other installation closings.
- May be required to work overtime and other than normal duty hours which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
- Call back and emergency duty are regular requirements of this position.

- To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by: (1) providing technical advice and assistance to management regarding personnel actions; (2) overseeing recruitment initiatives to replace loss of skilled and professional employees; (3) assisting management in preparing position descriptions; (4) initiating Requests for Personnel Actions; and (5) maintaining files and documents on personnel actions.
**Education**:
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
