Finance Operations and Product Lead (f/m/d)

The xChange Wallet is the financial infrastructure backbone of our platform with which our products integrate (e.g., leasing and trading marketplaces, ocean freight and insights) in order to translate our customers’ platform activity into charge $ and credit $ and a real-time Wallet balance. Additionally, our Wallet is integrated with business-critical external solutions such as our finance ERP system Oracle NetSuite, or Salesforce. You and your team of specialists handle the related customer operations, including invoicing and contract management, and work closely with relevant internal stakeholders (e.g., account management). On the product side, you will closely collaborate with a dedicated product manager and tech team.

As our Finance Operations and Product Lead, you own our customer-facing finance operations (e.g., contract mgmt., invoicing, customer service) and help take our xChange Wallet product to the next level. This includes improvements on the admin side of the product to a) ensure accuracy and safety at all times and b) allow for scalable operational processes, as well as further enhancements of the product’s value add to customers.

Ultimately, we want to handle every single global container transported (currently 170 million per year) via xChange—and your job is to help in taking our platform’s infrastructure backbone to the next level. You are going to play a crucial role in all finance
- and Wallet-related matters, as well as the integration of the overall xChange product landscape. This requires a driven, pragmatic, outcome-oriented problem solver and “player-captain”, who collaborates efficiently with other teams at xChange. You are going to work directly with the CFO (= heading up the Business Unit) and founders on a daily basis

**Requirements**:
Your responsibilities in a nutshell
- Be the “go-to” person for our finance operations processes, our Wallet product and its embeddedness/integration with the rest of the xChange platform and processes
- Own and improve our finance operations processes through standardization and automation to make them scalable (key areas include: contract mgmt., invoicing, and finance support)
- Ensure full integration of all relevant products with the Wallet and our finance backbone at all times—this includes always being on top of requirements arising from changes, new features or new products
- Foster cross-team collaboration with other teams (e.g., Account Mgmt., Customer Support, Container Operations, Marketplace Operations) through clear responsibilities and processes
- Establish best-in-class response times to customers
- Become a key counterpart of the CFO and the Finance Product Manager for the product strategy and its execution
- Lead a high-calibre team of finance operations specialists

What we’re looking for
- Your ideal background includes proven experience in e.g., finance operations (e.g., at a FinTech, or a (neo-)bank), or consulting. Product experience is a plus.
- Expertise in finance and solid accounting knowledge are a must-have.
- You take ownership and make clear decisions on the product and operations topics.
- You are experienced in leading a high-calibre team of specialists and in aligning cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter attitude with a high personal drive—you are excited about being a part of rapid growth and not afraid to get your hands dirty
- Ability to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions driving forward business objectives
- Fluency in English - all other languages are no requirement
