**Job brief**:
We are currently looking for a System Administrator for our team (Berlin) to provide smooth running IT services for the organisation.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Manage our servers infrastructure for various research projects - both cloud-based and in-house
- Plan and supervise our network infrastructure (LAN & WAN) including open-source security (Firewall, IPS, Proxy, VPN gateway)
- Ensure the availability and efficient use of network devices and servers
- Proactively monitor infrastructure to identify, optimise and resolve potential performance and security problem
- Guide team and clients in questions of infrastructure and data security
**What do you bring?**
- 3+years work experience as System Administrator
- Proven experience in managing linux system is a must
- Experience in handling open source software, VMWare esx and Office 365
- Have monitored health/performance and patched servers regularly in a corporate environment
- Experience in configuring and maintaining vpn’s (openvpn)
- Experience with Google cloud, AWS and Azure is a plus
- Fluent communication skills in English
