Tokyo Area

**The challenge**:
We are searching for a **Talent Acquisition Team Lead** to join a leading global technology company in Tokyo. This role requires a highly experienced recruitment leader with a strong understanding of the Japanese talent market and the ability to strategize and manage large-scale hiring initiatives across non-technical functions. You’ll guide a skilled team of about 10 recruiters, partnering closely with regional and global leadership to align the talent acquisition strategy with the company’s goals and growth ambitions.
- ** Leadership and Team Management**:
Manage and mentor a team of around 10 recruiters, ensuring alignment with company hiring standards, regional goals, and providing continuous development opportunities to foster recruiter excellence.
- ** Strategic Talent Acquisition**:
Lead recruitment strategy for critical functions across technical, sales, and operations roles, focusing on high-quality and timely fulfillment of staffing needs to support business growth in Japan.
- ** Data-Driven Recruitment**:
Analyze recruitment data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the hiring process, identify bottlenecks, and optimize team performance and decision-making.
- ** Stakeholder Management**:
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders, department heads, and HR partners to understand current and future hiring needs, while presenting insights into market trends and talent acquisition strategies.
- ** Process Improvement**:
Continuously evaluate and improve hiring processes, utilizing the latest in ATS and sourcing tools, and implementing industry best practices to drive efficiency.

**Skills & Experience you bring to the table**:

- ** Experience**:
Minimum of 5+ years in talent acquisition or recruitment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role; prior experience in the tech industry or working with high-growth, fast-paced companies preferred.
- ** Market Knowledge**:
In-depth knowledge of Japan’s talent landscape, with experience in sourcing and hiring for both technical and high-volume roles in Tokyo and surrounding regions.
- ** Analytical Competence**:
Proven ability to utilize data, metrics, and reporting to assess recruitment effectiveness and guide strategic decisions.
- ** Leadership Skills**:
Demonstrated experience in building and leading successful recruitment teams, with the ability to foster a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- ** Language Proficiency**:
Fluent Japanese and English, with strong communication skills in both languages for effective stakeholder management and team coordination.
