**Priority areas for recruiting are**: European fiscal and monetary policy, labour markets, energy and industrial policy, pension and social security systems all with a focus on Europe and Germany.

**What we expect**: You do not need to have a specific background but should be able to demonstrate significant professional experience - preferably in public administration - or a very good scientific education.

**What we offer**:We pay according to the collective bargaining agreement of the public sector. Our office is located in Berlin; working from a home office can be arranged on an individual basis. No German language skills required. We also welcome applicants from public institutions who are planning a sabbatical.

**The organisation**: Dezernat Zukunft - Institute for Macrofinance is a German macrofinance think tank and registered charity founded in 2018. We are headquartered in Berlin and co-led by the political economist Max Krahé, who wrote his dissertation on the relationship of democracy and capitalism and Philippa Sigl-Glöckner, a former Ministry of Finance official and World Banker. Over the past year, our focus has been on fiscal policy, see for instance our paper on a new fiscal policy for Germany and a reform proposal for the preventive arm of the Stability and Growth Pact.
