We are seeking a Semiconductor Policy Expert with a robust network in EU institutions and government bodies of leading semiconductor nations to support our clients' policy and advocacy needs on a project basis.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly connected Semiconductor Policy Expert to provide strategic policy expertise and stakeholder engagement for our clients across Europe's semiconductor-leading nations (e.g., Germany, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Ireland). The ideal candidate will have an extensive network within EU institutions and national/regional government bodies, deep knowledge of semiconductor regulations, and a proven ability to influence policy outcomes on a project-based, part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze EU and national policies and regulations related to semiconductors and critical technologies for client projects.

  • Develop policy recommendations and advocacy strategies to support client objectives in the semiconductor industry.

  • Leverage your established network within EU institutions (e.g., European Commission, European Parliament) and national governments of semiconductor hubs (e.g., Germany's BMWI, Netherlands' EZK, France's DGE) to facilitate client engagements.

  • Represent clients in policy discussions, stakeholder meetings, or industry forums (e.g., SEMI Europe Summit, ESIA events) as needed.

  • Provide concise, actionable insights to clients on regulatory risks and opportunities in the semiconductor sector.

  • Collaborate with Oasis Insights to align deliverables with client needs.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in public policy, law, economics, engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in policy advocacy or analysis, ideally in semiconductors, critical technologies, or related industries.

  • Extensive, verifiable network of contacts within EU institutions (e.g., DG GROW, DG CONNECT) and government bodies in semiconductor-leading nations (Germany, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Ireland).

  • Strong understanding of EU regulatory frameworks (e.g., EU Chips Act) and national decision-making processes in semiconductor ecosystems.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with experience navigating complex stakeholder environments.

  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional European languages (e.g., German, Dutch, French) is a strong plus.

  • Comfortable working independently on a project-based, part-time schedule.
