We are a high-tech company and leading supplier to the semiconductor industry. We manufacture the complex lithography machines that chip manufacturers use to produce integrated circuits or computer chips. What we do is at the heart of all electronic devices that inform, entertain, and connect us. At the Berlin site, more than 1,300 employees develop and manufacture key components for ASML lithography systems.

The Corporate Real Estate (CRE) Organization is responsible for the life cycle of the ASML infrastructure, installation and buildings. It plays a very decisive role in the development of the Berlin site. However, even with all this growth, the protection of human health and the environment is still paramount. Sustainability is one of our most important corporate values.

The future CRE EHS BF team consists of members with individual expertise in specific Sustainability, Environmental, Health and Safety competencies. Joint as a team and in close collaboration we are able to support the business by: ensuring compliancy to environmental and (contractor) safety regulations, improving safety on the working place by means of safety inspections and coaching/supervision, monitoring and reporting safety improvement measures and learnings from incidents.

You will bring the challenges of sustainability to the very top-of-mind in both senior and operational management, and contribute to embed sustainability as a key pillar of our strategy. You will manage the energy management according to the standards of ISO 50001. One of your main goals is to pursue and fulfill our long-term sustainability strategy. You will manage the sustainability and energy portfolio contentwise for the Berlin site and report to the CRE EHS manager Berlin.

Sustainability of the CRE organization
- Strengthen our culture of sustainability
- Support our circularity strategy and implementation down to concrete actions
- Support our masterplan Circularity CRE
- Connecting global programs with your support and local operations with execution of projects
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations
- Monitor contentwise the quality of the execution and of the documentation of the circularity program
- Initiate continual improvements for our environmental protection
- Maintain interface with global CRE EHS on Environmental Social Governance reporting
- Ensure that documents and reports on the one hand comply to environmental laws and regulations and on the other hand fulfill ASML reporting standards
- Identify key CRE processes and strive to embed circularity activities in those processes
- Develop a performance dashboard to monitor and report circularity progress
- Support project or competence teams to develop and implement reuse and recycling opportunities in construction and in services managed by CRE
- Support local departments to map good lifecycle and requirements to ensure sustainability of purchased goods
- Review and communicate findings to CRE EHS manager and program managers

Energy management for the entire Berlin site
- Ensure energy efficiency for plants and systems
- Responsible for the energy management system according to ISO 50001
- Monitor energy use (EnEffCo)
- Translate findings in actionable plans
- Enhance our energy management with respect to future requirements, challenges and activities
- Provide recommendations from an extended energy perspective
- Support budget preparation
- Performing the duties of the Energy Management Representative for the whole Berlin site
- Preparation and implementation of energy team meetings, internal audits, management reviews as well as external monitoring and certification audits
- Operational management and maintenance of the building control system as well as the software for energy efficiency controlling with associated reporting;
- Maintenance and further development of the key figures and measurement concept
- Design, coordination and implementation of measures to increase energy efficiency
- Compliance with energy efficiency criteria for investments in machinery and equipment
- Ensuring legal compliance and documentation of the energy management system
- Support and consult to tendering and purchasing of energy requirements for the German sites
- Conducting training and employee information
