As part of the Device Partner Sales (DPS) team, the Azure IoT & Edge specialist team is seeking a technical specialist with a strong OT and edge technical experience to enable Microsoft partners to build and land solutions across the industry.

The primary mission of the Azure IoT & Edge specialist team is to drive partner success from inception, through solution creation to solution co-sell, across the entire Azure IoT & Edge portfolio. We are especially focusing on operational technologies use cases, in Manufacturing, Energy and Sustainability.

The Device Partner Sales (DPS) team plays a critical role as part of the Global Partner Solutions organization to achieve Microsoft’s mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. We build, market, and sell edge and cloud devices and solutions with our broad partner ecosystem that includes OEMs, IoT and Mixed Reality device manufacturers, device distribution channels, original design manufacturers, and Silicon providers. We work closely with our device ecosystem and internal business groups to innovate with device partners, transform how we sell devices and services with partners and build devices that consume our cloud.

**Responsibilities**:
**Opportunity Management**

Grow the regional IoT Solutions pipeline by coordinating with our global and regional partners, internal business stakeholders and commercial Azure IoT & Edge specialists to report opportunities, maximize our Partners’ return on investment and orchestrate regional reviews. Drive pre-sales engagements, for strategic proofs of value and pilots with Azure IoT and Edge.

**Trusted Technical Advisor for Partners**

Understand the Microsoft IoT strategy and influence and orchestrate relevant and applicable internal resources to drive maximum coverage on key opportunities and strategies in a timely manner by engaging as a deep technical level across our partner’s organization, from developer to CxO. Grow Microsoft’s presence in the region through customer references, successful deployments, regional and local industry events, etc.

Drive scaleable business impact through partner enablement, across System Integrators, ISVs, OEMs and Solution Aggregators and developing our Partner’s solutions, addressing the Internet of Things and Operational Technology market.

**Thought Leadership and Product Impact**
Act as the interface between the partners and the Microsoft product groups, by providing technical feedback, partners’ requirements, and market insights. Be an advocate for our partners’ and our IoT and OT market and provide consistent feedback to Corp Teams across the products and services.

Drive strong collaboration across Microsoft teams to ensure securely connected end to end IoT solutions deployed with broad partner by partnering with internal stakeholders where applicable. Keep up to date with IoT and cloud market trends and competitive insights, engage product groups to further enhance our industry-leading solutions and service offerings.

**Qualifications**:
5+ years of technical sales experience with a track record in high tech industry

3+ years of experience in enterprise and solution based consulting or technical sales

Undergraduate degree preferred, in Computer Science, Electric Engineering or a related technical field, or relevant work experience

We are a deep technical team with a broad scope. Technical and pre-sales engineering expertise and specialization is required, ideally covering one or more of these areas:

- Knowledge of IoT solutions architectures (Devices, Gateways, Connectivity, Cloud, Analytics and Visualization).
- Edge Computing and Orchestration (e.g. Real-Time, Containerization, Kubernetes, High performance computing).
- Developer experience in embedded and/or cloud native solutions (e.g. programming languages, developer frameworks, CI/CD).
- Product ownership relative to Embedded Device Design, Embedded Development and/or IoT Solutions.
- Azure or other Cloud Platform technical
