Financial Management Technician Nf-03

**Duties**:
- Provides technical financial, budget and /or accounting support by accumulating, processing, compilation and consolidation of financial data in support of finance analysts.
- Assists with conducting review and analysis of operating programs, ensuring conformance with policy and resource utilization; participates in surprise cash count visits and auditing inventory controls
- Identifies problems with document flow, e.g. daily activity reports, petty cash, transfer between accounts, etc.; assists in the analysis and evaluation of findings, determining corrective or improvement actions needed.
- Provides assistance with formal reports for submission to Division Chiefs, recommending changes to procedures and practices covering all functional areas, identifying requirements for training or changes in resource utilization and commitment.
- Assists Information Management Specialists with defining and correcting problems or identifying needs of user representatives who work with various NAF Information Management Systems. Assists higher graded employees with analysis of incoming reports.

**Qualifications**:
- 1. Must have semi-independent work experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level.
- 2. Ability to organize and communicate through written correspondence and oral communication.
- 3. Working knowledge of principles, practices and methods of budget formulation.
- 4. Ability to type and operate a personal computer.
- 5. Knowledge of operation and functions of personal computers to provide problem solving resolution and service to users.
- 6. Highly desirable: familiarity with processing Daily Activity Reports, cash-handling experience, the ability to work nights and weekends in support of Financial Management Division operation and the ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license**Best Qualifying Criteria - Minimum 1-year experience in a Morale, Welfare, and Recreation position.**
